Packing services

Our packing services crew will arrive at the date and time agreed with you. On arrival, the crew and foreman will introduce themselves, and walk through your home with you, so that you can go over what needs to be packed, and point out anything particularly fragile.

After laying protective coverings on floors, the packing services crew will pack your belongings using export wrapping techniques and tailor-made packing materials, to minimise movement and damage during transit. Our foreman will prepare an inventory of each packed item, for example ‘carton of china’. This will be signed by him and you as a receipt for the belongings being shipped.

Packing Materials and Storage Containers - Keeping Your Possessions Safe

Wrapping: We use 6 ply (as opposed to the standard 4 ply) padded blankets, and a range of other specialist packing materials, to protect your belongings during shipping.

Custom-made cartons: We have a range of custom-made storage containers for fragile or bulky items, for example:

• Mattress cartons to protect the shape of your mattresses and keep them clean
• Wardrobe cartons to transport your clothes upright, minimising creasing
• Wooden china crates to keep fragile items safe
• Over-sized cartons to transport large items like golf clubs and bicycles

Specialised materials: We pack silverware in acid-free paper to stop it from tarnishing. We also place silica gel and absorbapoles – which absorb moisture, preventing damp and mildew – into shipments travelling to humid destinations.

To us, everything you own is priceless. Our packing services crew members are very experienced removers, and will take the utmost care with all your possessions. By listing their initials on the inventory, they even take personal responsibility for every box they pack.
