Families advised to seek guidance as London's international schools fill up
21-06-2011
International schools tend to have limited availability - or be completely full - by early summer and this year is no exception. But expatriate families can sometimes still find a space for their child if they plan carefully.
While a particular school may be full and with a wait list, places can still become available as families are repatriated. As an example, while the three ACS schools are busy and with some grades completely full, all are still accepting applications.
The International School of London is full in Early Childhood, Grades 2, 3, and 5, with very limited availability in Grade 1, 4, 10, 11. However the admissions department has also said that the situation is changing all the time, and they often have unexpected places at the last minute, or during the summer.
Families will still be looking for places over the coming months as moves are announced. Careful guidance is needed to assist the family as they might want to explore the alternative options, for example state schooling, and the variety of other choices that could be available to them.
If your assignees have any questions on schooling for their children, they should contact their Sterling representative.
