New rules make pet transport easier

16-11-2011

New regulations regarding Rabies vaccinations will simplify the process of moving animals into Europe.

From the 3rd January 2012, pets from a number of ‘approved’ countries that have been microchipped and vaccinated will only have to wait 21 days before they can be transported.

Those from ‘unapproved’ countries must also have a blood test 30 days after the vaccination following which travel is subject to approval from an approved laboratory.
